I paint, draw, and animate shape-shifting feline characters that unapologetically take up space, both physically and emotionally, in humorous, playful, and surreal ways. Through this work, I satisfy the longings of my inner child by reclaiming the 'well-behaved, sidekick' female cartoon characters—often portrayed as passive—and emboldening them with the mischievous spirit of iconic figures like Disney’s Cheshire Cat.
Automatic drawing and painting act as catalysts for humor that evolve into animations or zines. Using watercolor, gouache, and acrylic on canvas, board, or paper.
